Birthdays

I hate it when people ask you what you want for your birthday. I don't know! I mean, neither do they, but I feel almost offended that they haven't picked up on my personality at all to maybe think of what I might like.
Also, I always feel more emotional when I do get something that I did want, but didn't ask for it. The giver also feels better because they know that they have made someone happy and that they know someone well enough to get them what they wanted. Though, there are also the disappointments of not getting what you want, but you can suck it up. Plus, if you did ask for something, and didn't get it, then you feel even more disappointed. But whatever. The guy who didn't give you what you asked for was probably a dick anyways.
