It keeps pissing me off that creativity always strikes me at the wrong time. I'm in the middle of doing my homework (only a sophomore in high school) and when I am actually trying to get something accomplished, I happen to stumble upon a really good chord progression, or a cool new style of art that I never would have thought of before. Of course I have to finish the assignment (which I rarely do by the way), so my mind switches to it for a split second, and BAM, I forgot that chord. It's not like I am going to go anywhere with music, in fact, my life would probably be better off down the road if I actually got some assignments done, but if i was just able to finish that chord progression, and find where it would have gone, I wouldn't loose sleep over trying to remember those chords. and when I finally do remember those chords, I forgot what I was trying to do with them, with the beat, and what style I was going for and stuff.
Another thing that pisses me off about this is that creativity also only strikes into the deep night. Let me tell you, it is really annoying to play those chord progressions out to see if they even sound good, only to play so softly that you can't even hear it yourself (and yet people still bang on your wall and tell you to keep the noise down and that they're trying to sleep). Then when you come back to those chords in the morning, they don't even sound good anymore and you're not sure if you're even playing the right chords anymore. Can anyone else relate to what I'm talking about here?
(I've never really been good at writing stuff, but I'm giving it a shot, so please, tips on how to improve my writing style are encouraged, that is if anyone cares to read this)
